SUMMARY:City of Venice's annual Fourth of July Fireworks
LOCATION:See Site for best viewing locations
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Join us Saturday, July 4, as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary and 1
00 Years of Venice with the City of Venice's annual Fourth of July Firework
s display!\n\nThe professional display will be fired by Zambelli Fireworks
from the South Jetty beginning around 9 p.m., following a test shot between
8:30 and 8:45 p.m. The show will be visible from many beachside parks and
public viewing areas along the shoreline.*\n\nBoaters: Plan ahead! The Veni
ce Inlet will close to vessel traffic around 8:30 p.m. and remain closed un
til approximately 30 minutes after the finale. Be sure to check the tide sc
hedule before heading out on the water.\n\nSea turtle nesting season is in
full swing. As part of the Venice Beach Shore Protection Project, Mote Mari
ne Laboratory is relocating nests within the project area under state autho
rization. Please continue to watch for and avoid all marked sea turtle nest
s when choosing your viewing spot. Leave plenty of space around marked nest
ing areas, and remember to fill in any holes and pack out everything you br
ing before leaving the beach. Some public viewing areas may also be impacte
d by beach renourishment equipment and staging areas.\n\nHelp keep our beac
hes beautiful. Pack in, pack out by taking everything you bring with you, i
ncluding trash, recycling, broken tents or chairs, and whatever else you to
ted out to the beach.\n\nA reminder about personal fireworks: The City burn
ban issued in April remains in effect. While Florida law generally allows
certain personal fireworks on Independence Day, an active burn ban supersed
es that allowance, making personal fireworks illegal. Leave the pyrotechnic
s to the professionals and enjoy a safe, spectacular show with us or use an
alternative like glowsticks or colored bubbles.\n\nWe can't wait to celebr
ate this historic Independence Day with our community!\n\n*The South Jetty
remains closed to the public and will only be accessed by the Zambelli Fire
works professionals and Venice FL Fire Rescue personnel. Fireworks visibili
ty may vary by location and is dependent on weather, wind, and cloud condit
 ions.
