Beat the Heat Sunrise Walks

• When: Tuesday, August 11, 2026,  6:45 am -  7:30 am
  
• Location: Calusa Heritage Trail at the Randell Research Center 13810 Waterfront Drive Pineland, FL 33922
• Cost: Requested donations for visitors to the Calusa Heritage Trail are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $4 for children/ Members of the Friends of the RRC are admitted free

Join RRC staff members this summer at sunrise to explore Pineland’s ancient shell mounds, observe wildlife, and prepare for the day. Participants are invited to meet at 6:45 a.m. at the teaching pavilion for a 45-minute walk and quiet reflection.

Sunrise walks will be canceled in the event of heavy rain. Visitors should be prepared for occasional damp or muddy conditions and should bring water and insect repellent. A bottle filling station is available at the pavilion.

Income from donations and memberships makes it possible to maintain this important archaeological site.
