It's back to school time! Do you know what that means? We have the new Sunshine State Young Reader Award books for the 2026-2027 academic year!

Don't know which book to start with? Swing by the library for our Sunshine State Book Sampler. Get a taste of the book by reading the first chapter or two before trying out another. We will have all of the Sunshine State books for this upcoming year, provided all our copies aren't checked out, for the junior group (grades K-2), grades 3-5, and grades 6-8. We have some titles from last year as well.

Grab a donut hole or two, get a SSYRA bookmark to track your reading progress, and dive into our new books. Can you read all 15 books for your grade group this year?

This program is intended for kids in grades 3-8, roughly ages 9-13.
